The 'Techie' Stuff

The ConnectEd Online Learning Environment was specially designed to give both students and staff an easy but highly effective learning platform. It consists of three distinct parts that are blended together to form a seamless exciting and user-friendly learning system.

The ConnectEd Portal - Designed by our own staff to enhance the students learning, this Microsoft Sharepoint system provides our students with a secure web-based area for work and sharing.

iLinc Virtual Classroom - Enables students and staff to communicate via audio,video or text, while simultaneously sharing any documents or multimedia programmes to enhance the learning process. We will soon be moving to Version 9 so new challenges face us all!

Microsoft Class Server - Makes it easy for staff to create, deliver, mark and record home learning packages sent out to individuals, groups or the whole learning community

Have you been put off by the 'techie' bit? Please don't.

We are committed to appointing someone for their curriculum strength, knowledge and for their desire to develop and expand the curriculum for our students. We already have the techie people (well one person!) in place and because we are supported by a commercial firm we have excellent backup.

If you can use a PC with confidence and enjoy developing interesting and exciting learning materials then we will give you plenty of training and support to ensure that you, and your students, succeed.
