Sept 2008: We are pleased to welcome Tracy Grant joining the team to teach KS3 Science and Maths. We continue to expand and hope to make further appointments as the year progresses.
July 2008: This year we saw the highest number of students work with ConnectEd. At the peak we had 52 online (funded for 30!) and our exam results showed how effective ConnectEd and Virtual Learning can be.
Sept 2007: We will be welcoming our new technician and ICT tutor John Caton. We look forward to working with him and he will be getting in touch with students in the new term.
ConnectEd Wikispace will be launched in September 2007. This will allow students and staff to develop community spaces as well as their own areas. Further information to come.
July 2007: We sadly say farewell to Olly Thompson, ConnectEd's Technician. Olly joined ConnectEd at the very start and has helped to guide it to where it is today. Many students and staff are very grateful for Olly's technical knowledge, keeping them online and in line! Olly is off to do his PGCE and we wish him all the best.
15th May 2007: 'Skills For Life'......... Early exam successes for Connected's 'Skills for Life' Students. Congratulations goes to a number of our students who this week have achieved their Level 1 in the OCR course in Adult Literacy and Numeracy, that form the basis of our Skills for Life course. Well done one and all!

23rd April 2007: Amber Online..........Cambridgeshire's Amber Centre will soon be launching th eir own 'Amber Online Learning Portal'. Using the ConnectEd Portal as its template Amber Online will allow students attending the Amber Centre to access online learning. Amber Online will go live in September 2007
28th March 2007: Visit to House of Lords.....Andy Hannaford, Manager of ConnectEd, joined other online providers and supporters at The House of Lords for the presentation of a new award to students learning online. The award, 'Learning Against The Odds, sponsored by Nisai Group and The Tyme Trust, was for those students that have made outstanding progress through online learning. Further Info
3rd January 2007: New Office For ConnectEd.........ConnectEd at last gets a home! After a couple of years of working out of the back of one of the old pavilions on the Ascham Site, ConnectEd now has a home of its own, still on the site but in rooms big enough to allow us to teach from the base, hold meetings and welcome visitors!
10th December 2006: Number Grow.........ConnectEd numbers swell to 40 as we take on two new students this week.
1st September 2006: New Learning Portal Launched.......ConnectEd launches its new Learning Portal! Working with Nisai, the new learning portal uses sharepoint technology to give an appealing and highly functional portal for its students. Built into the system is a virtual classroom which will allow live lessons to be taught to students across the county.
